Manor Switchgear & Controls is a leading provider of High Voltage and Low Voltage switchboards, and motor control panels including automation products. We serve customers throughout the UK & Ireland, with end-users in Retail, Healthcare, Leisure, commercial, industrial & Data centres.
A permanent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Graduate Electrical Control Panel Design Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career at a young, ambitious company that is experiencing rapid growth in global critical infrastructure markets e.g. data centre markets.
Working alongside Manor Switchgear & Controls electrical engineering staff to deliver control panel designs for construction and then supply to our customers throughout the UK & Europe. Assisting with the design of control panels and liaising with our production department to ensure control panels are built to meet our customers specification and need.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design of electrical control panels using E Plan, Autocad and Amtech software; working alongside our design engineers.
- Working with specialist CNC copper bending and hole punching technology software interfaces.
- Design of PLC I/O schedules and programming.
- Assisting in the roll out of control panel builds by directly liaising with production department and customers.
- Carrying out valuations and tracking variations for ongoing projects.
- Management of as fitted drawings and handover documentation to our clients.

Desired Criteria
- Successful completion of a MEng/BEng/BSc/HNC/HND postgraduate qualification in either Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Building Services Design, including pathways combining versions of some of these degrees.
- Candidates should have a driving license and possess a willingness to learn and develop their engineering skills in a fast-paced engineering company at the forefront of our field.
- Experience in a similar role on placement year or through part time employment.
- Proficient in the use of CAD.
